Join us remotely or a fitness event like none other.
On May 16th, 10.40.10 Fitness in Deer Park, IL will be hosting their latest "Hero Mission" fitness event in honor of Brock Shiffer. Brock is the FITFO/“Figure it the F*** Out” mentality; manifested in flesh and bone. A Navy veteran, Brock has suffered personal injuries, fought debilitating diseases, and continues to demonstrate in the gym and his daily life that excuses are B.S.

Who: Whether you’re a competitor or spectator, all members of the community are encouraged to attend virtually or in-person

What: All day fitness event celebrating local community heroes, hosted by veterans, catered by the #1 rated BBQ in Illinois, Chicago Culinary Kitchen!

What is the "Train American" Series?

Honor American heroes with workouts that are as inspirational as they are challenging. These hero missions are perfect for any American who wants to honor one of our country's very best.
Have you ever asked yourself: How can I make my country better?
This is your chance.
All Americans are encouraged to participate and earn each hero’s challenge coin. Join us at our Deer Park location, at your community gym or even your home gym.
One of the core values at 104010 is integrity, therefore, remote participation is based on the honor system. To join remotely, purchase a ticket, complete the workout, and send us a filled-out scorecard. If you meet the challenge standards, you have earned your spot amongst elite Americans who demand more of themselves.

What is a "Challenge Coin

(via wikipedia.com) A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion, bearing an organization's insignia or emblem and carried by the organization's members. Traditionally, they might be given to prove membership when challenged and to enhance morale. They are also collected by service members and law enforcement personnel. Historically, challenge coins were presented by unit commanders in recognition of special achievement by a member of the unit. They could also be exchanged in recognition of visits to an organization.

 

MISSION PARAMETERS

The “Brock” is a partner mission. You will have an official judge to not only count your reps, but to ensure reps meet required 104010 standards. Earn your coin!

MASTER CHIEF DIVISION

  • Part I: 1000m (total) Row: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part II: 120 Power Clean & Jerks (men: 95 lbs / women: 65 lbs): One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part III: 1000m (total) Row: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.

TO EARN A COIN: COMPLETE IN 15 MINUTES OR LESS

 

SERGEANT DIVISION

  • Part I: 1000m (total) Row: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part II: 90 Power Clean & Jerks, Total (men: 75 lbs / women: 55 lbs): One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part III: 1000m (total) Row: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.

Power Clean & Jerk Alternative:

  • Barbell Hang Power Clean & Jerk (men: 75 lbs / women: 55 lbs)
  • Single Kettlebell Power Clean & Jerks (men: 44 lbs / women: 25 lbs)

ADAPTIVE DIVISION

  • Part I: 1000m (total) Row OR SkiErg: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part II: 80 Hang Power Clean & Jerks: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part III: 1000m (total) Row OR SkiErg: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
Hand Power Clean & Jerk Alternative:
  • Barbell Hang Power Clean & Jerk (empty barbell)
  • Dual Dumbbell Hang Power Clean & Jerks (choose any weight)

RECRUIT DIVISION

  • Part I: 1000m (total) Row: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part II: 60 Single Kettlebell Hang OR Power Clean & Jerks (pick any weight). One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • Part III: 1000m (total) Row: One athlete works at a time, split the work any way you want.
  • This is just for fun, no stress, and no coin to be earned.
